If you are looking to join a premier, well researched 1812 living history organization, the First Regiment Volunteers is a great beginning. We are looking to build two companies of volunteers. Although the Regiment is military by organization, it is also a social organization whose members are encouraged to establish a character that reflects the citizen soldier that is core to its foundation.
The unit requires and annual dues of $20 in order to provide site insurance and munitions when participating at U.S. and Canadian historic sites. Along with that, members are asked to have a basic kit prepared at least one year into membership. The regiment provides loaner kits for the first year to make sure you can be on the field immediately upon joining.
Members are asked to respect the safety rules of the organization and the sites which the First Regiment participates in. Please download and fill out the attached Word Document.
